Lifting the Face by Filling the Temples with Sculptra

The temples are often an overlooked site that injectors and patients bypass. The temple region hollows are we age, due to bone density loss. Thinner patients often present with skeleton-like appearance as they age in the temple region and lateral face. Most patients see jowls, or sagging on the lower face and the immediate response is added cheek volume to give a lift. This added cheek volume can lead to a distorted look and have what is called a "cougar" face, i.e. Madonna circa 2014 or Courtney Cox before she recently dissolved her cheek filler. I am not against mid-face and cheek filler, it can give a nice subtle lift and add desired cheek bone structure,  however if the lifting is started from the upper portion of  the face, the tissue of the lower face is then elevated. I have personally been able to lift droopy eye lids with Sculptura as well. This was not the original intent, but it was a welcomed benefit for my patient.

Sculptra for temples volume loss nyc

About Sculptra.... FDA approved in the U.S. and has been used worldwide since 1999. Sculptra is unlike any other dermal fillers as it contains a synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid, which is a biocompatible, biodegradable substance that is gradually and naturally absorbed by the body and commonly found in dissolvable sutures.

Sculptra is a liquid filler and used to add volume to areas of the face to create a soft, natural, more youthful appearance of the face.

Because Sculptra is a bio-stimulator, it improves the texture and can restore a youthful glow to the skin when injected for overall facial volume.

Sculptra is done in a series of three treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart, over time It builds your own collagen so it has long lasting benefits.

Sculptra is recommended for: hollow cheeks, softening bony cheekbones, nasolabial folds, hollow chin area, defining the jawline, (most recently) buttock and my all time favorite hollow temples. In my professional opinon, Sculptra is the safest choice for temples due to the vascularity of the temple region.

Sculptra also lasts longer and if calculated is more cost effective over time, because it lasts up to two years.
